authoritative data, plus corrections .. yes, please

Regarding US postal address:  I have done large scale commercial work 
with US building footprints of various kinds. The coordination and 
sensibility of postal address information varies, to this day. In my 
opinion, Openstreetmap first and foremost is a representation of what is 
physically present, and that means building footprints.  Other 
attributes are useful but at what cost?  Is there a real,perfect answer 
to address data NO
