Hi everyone,

I would like to ask your opinion on the tagging scheme of West
Virginia's county roads.

Clay on OSMUS Slack suggested the idea that the tagging scheme of WV CRs
should be standardized because all roads in WV are maintained by the
State, and they have one kind of route shield which is basically the
standard MUTCD state road shield (M1-5)
Also there is an interesting article about WV roads:
http://www.andrewturnbull.net/wvhighways.html

The current tagging scheme is the following: network=WV:US:/County/,
where County means the county the road is in. Like: US:WV:Mercer

We've came up with three ideas:
1. US:WV:County (County is not substituted with anything)
2. US:WV:CR
3. US:WV:Secondary

The most beneficial thing would be that if you want to have a renderer
for shields like OSM Americana, then you would have to write only one
condition for checking these shields rather then writing 55 conditions
for each WV county. (and have less wikipages on OSM wiki for guidelines,
and it's less complicated)

On OSMUS Slack US:WV:County got the most (5) votes, however, I would
like to hear your opinions who are not on OSMUS Slack or not in those
particular conversations there.

Best regards,
Attila Kun (ottwiz)
