[Talk-us] Conversion from Cowardin Wetland Classification to OSM tagging

Hello all,

I'm developing a script to convert Cowardin Wetland Classifications into
OSM tags. This is to assist in imports of wetlands from the United States
National Wetland Inventory. The repository is available here
<https://github.com/kaneap/cowardin-to-osm>. Currently it only supports
some palustrine wetland systems (freshwater marshes, swamps, etc.) Any
feedback is welcome, as well as contributions, especially if you are
familiar with wetlands.

Note, that this is being developed for an import of wetlands in Wisconsin
from the dataset, whose plan is currently being drafted.
