[Talk-us] Rendering of toll roads on OpenStreetMap Americana

Hello,

I'm pleased to announce that OpenStreetMap Americana is now rendering toll
roads.  Thanks to Clay Smalley for their contribution[1] in adding this to
the map.  Toll roads will render at (vector) zoom 9 and higher, which is
the limit at which they're present in the underlying vector tiles.

The rendering of toll roads has revealed some interesting results on the
map, including a number of locations which are likely missing toll
tagging.  The rendering of toll roads is based on the presence of the
toll=yes tag being present on ways.

I wanted to share this update with the community to help promote getting
"many eyes" on toll tagging.  If you are familiar with toll roads in your
area, this is a great opportunity to look at the rendering to see if there
might be any errors or omissions.

Note that data updates (refreshes from OpenStreetMap) are currently a
manual process on my part, so any changes in OSM won't be reflected in the
map until the next time I run an update.
