Thanks for engaging with the community, and your company's efforts to improve OSM!

I checked a few of these cases, and they are indeed, little bits of highway=* that are not connected to the rest of the network.  It does seem that the cases you have identified only occur in the states of MI, NY, CA, FL, and WA (if I am interpreting the MR challenge correctly).  Did you intend to only tackle some states first, or are the other states truly free of this condition? Also, to correct some of these cases requires not just a simple connection, but adding miles of new highway=* features, as well as realigning existing highway=* features to current imagery.

The tasks were generated based on isolated highways where connections to the rest of the network could potentially be added. We plan to start editing in the United States in 2 weeks.
