It depends what you are looking for...

The best hand held GPS for viewing, mapping and navigation is the Garmin 
60csx but it's fairly pricey. Otherwise any of the Garmin "x" range. 
Vista or Legend. (Supports OSM maps on device)

There are many bluetooth GPS receivers available, but you'll need a 
separate device to log to eg: cellphone. Look out for devices with a 
Sirf III or Mediatek (MTK) chip as they're generally the best / most 
accurate.

There are a few data logger devices that have internal memory. i-Blue 
757 pro, i-Blue 747, Globalsat DG-100, Wintec data logger range.

And finally there are some GPS devices which take SD cards. Scytex / 
Locosys / NaviGPS / (B)GT-11.
