I thought it may be time for me to chip in.

I'm also a newbie.  Very keen on OSM.  I'm busy mapping the Southern
Southern Southern Suburbs of Cape Town (Fish Hoek area)

I'm doing it with Yahoo! images at the moment and I plan on buying a GPS
device Real Soon Now.

It would be great if someone can go down south and see the work I've
done to comment on it,  I'm not sure if I'm doing it correctly or not.
