Good to see another PE person getting involved! :)  At the moment there 
are I think 3 people working on PE, myself included.  The eTrex does 
work however I've found the number of points its logged are quite far 
apart and the closer the GPS gets to filling it's memory, the more 
points it starts deleting.

Have you had a look at the maps of PE on OSM yet?  We seem to have a 
nice bit done!
