[OSM-Talk-ZA] Talk-ZA Digest, Vol 20, Issue 3 looks like we can use the maps

i sent them a email asking if we could use the data.  this was the reply:

The copyright belongs to the City Of Tshwane, but the maps may be used
freely. Please refer to: http://www.freeourdata.org.uk/blog/?p=105 , and the
response by Derek Clark: http://www.freeourdata.org.uk/blog/?p=106 , please
note: " It is possible to have free data but still have copyright on that
data. Copyright on free data is not used to restrict the use of the data but
rather to ensure that the user acknowledges the source and also to ensure
that no other party claims a copyright on that data."

If you want to order data please see:
http://www.tshwane.gov.za/largescalemaps.cfm and "Request for electronic
data"  ( there is a charge for creating the data disks )

The data is usually collected at the City of Tshwane, but please discuss
this with: geoinfoservice at tshwane.gov.za
