Hello!

It’s a good question! It is possible that some challenges will occasionally show only a few or no tasks, but this is temporary. We will update these challenges as new data becomes available—simply check back in a few days. I also think there was an accidental delay between when I sent the notification and when they made the challenges live. I did check them just now, and they do now have items.

I also wanted to note that challenge-specific information for proposed fixes and/or tag updates appears within each challenge description.

It sounds great but all of the maproulette challenges are empty. Do you have a date by when it would contain actual items so we can check back in then?

We used public instances of OSM QC tools such as Atlas and Osmose in addition to internal validation to detect potential map data issues in several African countries.

The checks are mainly focused on potential issues that would impact the road network and tags that affect automotive navigation applications.

We have created five new regional projects in Africa designed to fix these issues. The projects are organized around one rule violation per country for each unique challenge. We hope this will make the challenges easier for active users in each country to find.
