i would even say that rivers and streets don't differ too much
(not only from a programmers point of view)
for my as a developer, a river is either a line or an area with
attributes (same as a street or a place)
for skipper, a river is the same as a road
(as an extreme look at Venice where boats are the equivalent
of cars or the canals in Amsterdam)
