I'm also interested in answering these questions. What hardware and
software and OS do y'all use? I'm particularly interested in software
for the PalmOne Tungsten T, especially if it can remain running in the
background or with the screen off. Currently I'm trying cotoGPS, but I'm
finding it needs coaxing (won't restart logging without going in and out
of the application).

Say for instance a Holux GR231 which has a bluetooth interface and also
optional serial-usb cable.

The location is transmitted as NMEA compliant output, NMEA commands are
accepted. At least that's what the manual claims.

What logging software do you use for this. Does this software save to GPX?
