So, I've mailed him to ask for the images without response. IIRC he
mailed this list saying he wanted to retain some kind of rights to sell
to walkers or some other group that would use the data.

So whats the license on it? Can I/we have a download?

What are the details on things dropping out of copyright and being owned
by their physical owners in the case of images, or whatever?
