Have had reasonable success surveying roads with a Garmin Etrex Legend on a
double-decker bus and in a car. I managed to track the whole route from New
Cheriton (between Winchester and Petersfield) and Southampton on the bus on
Saturday, some 20 miles, and Southampton to Exbury (near Hythe) yesterday in
the car (some 15 miles). Judging by Landsat data, accuracy is reasonable,
with the offset remaining that slight southerly offset which I haven't worked
out yet....
