Cool.  I wish I had that available when trying to draw lines in the
Java applet.  It would make it easier to guess were the road actually
lies.

I will test it as soon as possible.  Ran into a problem when my disk
crashed on my laptop.  Will need some time to recover from that
problem.

I noticed you had started on a standalone java program.  I fail to
understand why so many fancy cut-n-paste programming.  I hope we can
avoid too much code duplication in the java repository.  It is getting
hard to understand where to update stuff.
