the privacy implications was discussed when a company wanted to offer
a image database of all buildings in germany
in 1999 a company named teleinfo announced to create a map with
panorama images for almost every street in germany
("City Server")
it seemed that even the federal and different federal state
data protection officers didn't agree if it was allowed or not
a summary by the privacy office of Schleswig-Holstein
(sorry .. only in german)
