Hi guys,

I was hoping to make it along to the wsfii hack session this afternoon, but
it looks like it might not be possible, so I wanted to sketch out some notes
on an idea for helping with the collection of data, and what I was sort of
planning on hacking on today.

I cycle around areas generating tracklogs, I where a handsfree kit into my
phone. I think it would be pretty easy to write a simple Series 60 python
application, that would allow me to record a geostamped (assuming bluetooth
gps, I've not got one so would have to test with just timestamping)
recording of the names of the road or any other feature. Hopefully then it
would be simple to add these voice tags into the osm editing capabilities,
making it much easier to edit the tracks back down to road names or
features - indeed anyone should be able to at least mark up the tracks and
basically clean them.

I also want to look at an svg/vml in browser editor, I don't think it should
be too hard, as the java applet doesn't work for me, and osm-editor is linux
only :-(

Jim.
