[OSM-talk] JOSM bug? ways seperate from segments

Hi,

I have hit this issue a few times now, so a question to see if it's a known
issue. Sometimes when editing maps in JOSM some ways seem to become "detached"
from the segments and nodes that they are part of. For example, I drag a node
that is part of a way: the way stays in the same place and the node + two
segments move. This leaves two "way segments" left that join without a node.

When in this situation the way is still selectable as a whole object, and can be
moved around leaving all its segments and nodes where they were...
middle-clicking to get the "info" box, however, still thinks the way is in its
original position.

I can currently cause this to happen on way 2907748 (52.721572, -1.1743287) by
loading from disk first, then downloading. It doesn't seem to matter what size
is downloaded (either very close to the way, just covering it, or a long way
out). Downloading first (and then, optionally, loading from disk) does not cause
it to happen.

Is this known bug? It just happen every now and then.

An example of dragging a way is at:

Thanks,
