Perhabs we should add some checks in the server software. I would suggest:

* Forbid a segment with  startpoint==endpoint
* Forbid a segment with a length greater than 10 km or 20 km?
* Forbid to {add/change} a segment witch have the same start and enpoint than 
a already existing.
* Forbid a node with the same lon and lat.
