>From the perspective of the London List, I think you should start the
French one.  I estimate that there are less than 100 active members on
the list and wiki, prob closer to 50.  Yet there are 2,700 registered
members.  Who mapped St Petersberg?  No-one knows - but it didnt map
itself.  Given that French is a major worldwide language, starting a
French speaking list would be a significnat contribution to the
project.

Go for it.  If you have a French mapping weekend - I'm there!
