It's been a quiet list. Perl's CPAN is scattered with Geo::* modules. 
I would contribute more if there were more egging-on going on
(including a perl interface to the OpenStreetmap API if anyone wanted it).
http://perlrdf.org/ is a neat scratch project assessing the current
'state of the art' and trying to build something common / integrating
and complaining about other peoples' APIs in the hopes they change.

It would be nice to see this cataloguing / overview effort in the
Geo:: space to help provide clarity about what is available and
encourage existing module authors to work together... it's niche
enough to have a dedicated list anyway. The state of geo perl isn't
*too* far behind that of python and enough People Care...
