[Openstreetmap] Bad GPS day?

I had a bad day about two weeks ago here in Birmingham when my navigation
software was having trouble keeping to the correct street. When I looked at
the log I found it usable to some degree but instead of the usual 6+ sats
available I was only seeing 4/5 at best.
I also recall an occasion when driving through Baltimore a couple of years
ago when one satellite starting spewing erroneous data for about 15 mins. My
Etrex then thought I was about 500 yards from where I thought I was. Very
disconcerting when you are used to sub 20m accuracy.
