You're absolutely right. I did throw the uploads away to start with but
now the files are stored, and have been for some time.

Planned feature is to allow you to make GPX files public for other
people to grab. My feeling is that people want this to be opt-in rather
than out.
You can download your original file or if before the archive began then
it'll reconstruct it from db data.
