[Openstreetmap] Newcomer: problems with GPX files

Hi,

I'm just a new editor with (maybe) old troubles.

I finally could upload some (3) GPX files. They look good at first sight.

But, all of them are registered as having 315 points! and I know they
are different traces. I don't even see some of the traced points
(here, for example:

Any hint? Is there a bug somewhere?

And just a suggestion: it would be good if we could use Google Maps
image layer, just to position us in a given point (I understand that
the maps should be free and that you don't want it as editing layer).
The actual tile server is very-very slow, and trying to find a point
somewhere to start editing is a total pain waiting for the files to
come.
