I really like the concept of being able to click on something in a
viewer and getting the information about that node / segment / way,
and then being able to edit its attributes (though that part is only
going to work if it's running off live data). In my opinion it starts
to bring the concept of the wiki that OSM should be out of the back
end and into the realm of the user.

This could relatively easily be extended to let people see the history
of an object, see the diffs (how far something's moved, what
attributes have changed, etc), rollback changes to a previous state
and all those wikilike things that would really help lower the
barrier, as Chris said in a later post, to everyday people coming in
and making changes to street names and the like.
