The CC-BY-SA License states "If you distribute, publicly display...the Work 
... You must ... give the Original Author credit reasonable to the medium or 
means You are utilizing"

I think its quite probable that in creating a printed map from OSM data that 
it would not be "reasonable" to produce a list of all contributors of OSM 
data if the list were lengthy.  And therefore my interpretation of the 
CC-BY-SA License would be that it would not be necessary in that instance to 
list all OSM contributors relevant to the printed map.

However if we are considering something like planet.osm which is produced in 
digital format, then it would be reasonbale to include a list of OSM 
contributors.
