[OSM-talk] Garmin StreetPilot i3

Thanks for all the replies. I'm now thoroughly confused :-/

The StreetPilot looked ideal, but then I found a review [1] that says
"TrackLog Points: The i3 models have no capability to log trackpoints"
which presumably means that I wouldn't be able to upload GPS traces to
OSM.

I can't afford to buy a GPS just for OSM, and I don't really need one
just for finding my way to places. But, I can justify buying one if it
will do both.

I had originally assumed I'd need a set designed for use in a car,
with spoken instructions, but it looks like that's not necessarily the
case. So, would a NaviGPS be able to help me find my way? Would I have
to enter the route myself? If so, is that simple, or long and
complicated?

Sorry for all the questions - I have *no* experience or knowledge with
GPS devices.

Russ
