We're just entering June 2006 and the 3rd planet.osm dump ever 
should be due any day soon, right, Steve?  I too wouldn't mind 
daily dumps, but weekly should be fine too.  Waiting til the next 
day can be just as frustrating as waiting til next week, so more 
frequent dumps aren't necessarily solving the problem.  Perhaps if 
clients could subscribe to recent updates every minute, a kind of 
replicated database, that could do.

Anyway, after I made that Gnuplot hack last week, I realized my 
maps could be so much better if I just added some more roads 
before the upcoming dump, so I went out this weekend to get those 
tracks.

At the beginning of each month, I have been going to the stats 
page to get the list of the most active contributors in the last 
month.  Now I realized I wasn't going to be in the top 10 for May 
2006, so I had one more reason to create more maps. Turns out I 
was able to get 7523 edits in just a few days, landing myself a 
6th place, beating Andy "Blackadder" Robinson by 7 edits.  If 
Ben's TIGER import is removed from the list, I'm at position 5.

So now I'm just waiting for the new dump.  Steve?
