Maybe my experience is different due to focus on countryside mapping, but
for me the editing seems to take less time. To give an example, last
Friday I walked approximately 10 miles, this took 5 hours (would probably
be only 3 if I didn't stop to look at the scenery...) but took less than
an hour (maybe 45 minutes?) editing. Having said that an urban area I did
about two weeks ago equated to about 3 miles, an hour walking round
streets in one area of Southampton (at approximately 2330 BST... decided
to go out as a pub meet that evening had been cancelled at late notice!)
and that probably took only 15-20 minutes of editing.
