[OSM-talk] Isle of Wight shoreline

Interesting.  

I had started to do something similar for the Isle of Wight using Landsat photos, but stopped once the shoreline data was posted on the wiki.

However those that visited the Island last weekend will be aware that parts of the SW coastline have been eroding a fast rate, and it is likely that in places there may be as much as a 100m difference between a 1948 map and today

  I mentioned the OSM and Isle of Wight to him a few days back and he's
  gone in and spent some time creating the shoreline and also some more
  classification information for the island. I think he's done it
  outside of the project, but his blog says he's happy to share the
  information. Perhaps we should pull in this improved shoreline
  information for the Isle of Wight?
