But that's a problem with Apple absolutely not being free, charging you for 
even minor dot upgrades of an operating system, given that you were happy to 
pay for the OS in the first place knowing that Apple do not give adequate to 
support to older versions you were accepting that you were going to have to 
pay to keep up to date.  Apple have never made a secret of it.
