[OSM-talk] Improving community within the OSM site

All,
I want to start putting together some requirements for improving the
community aspect of OSM within the site itself - think Tom's 'Flickr
of Maps'. One of the things that I see as being really important is
helping people get in touch with others around them who are also
interested in the area. I know there are the WikiProject pages and now
the tagging of traces, but I think there should be something more
central (incorporating the traces and some of the information from the
wiki) that help people integrate with others mapping their
surroundings.
I've created a Wiki page with a basic starting list of what I would
like to see as requirements, and welcome other peoples views on the
ideas I've put forward. If people have further ideas, please share
them on the wiki page too.

Cheers,
Dan
