The developer of gpsbabel has been working on support for the Garmin X
series. He recently posted a beta build for windows, linked to from the
wiki
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/GPS_Reviews#GPSMap_60CSx
I'd think it likely you could get a hold of the source from him, at
least, or perhaps a Mac build.
