Do people know about GPS Track Maker, a free Windows program at
http://www.gpstm.com ?
This can do conversions between loads of formats as well as analysis and
editng of tracks, inclusding timings and speed, helping to identify key
points of interest on your tracks, and reading directly from lots of
different makes and formats of GPS receivers - so for example, you can get
the NMEA data direct off your GPS and save the result in gpx format.
