Hi Nick, I am not holding it up as an absolute authority, and UK copyright law
is somewhat complex.
However, on page http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Out-of-copyright_maps
It says for company produced maps (such as this) copyright persists 70 years
after the end of the calendar year it was produced. According to that rationale,
it would have fallen out of copyright at the beginning of 2005.
Of course, it would be great to have references to law and case-law from the
out-of-copyright map page.
