I've discovered that the issues that people were having with this when I first
announced it last weekend were likely to be due to a bug in the plugin rather
than issues with the accuracy of the NPE maps. Basically, I misread the
documentation of the library which transforms between latitude/longitude and
OSGB eastings/northings and assumed it did the OSGB to WGS84 projection as
well. It doesn't.
Anyway, I've corrected the bug now and you'll probably find the behaviour of
the plugin much better. A reminder of the URLs:

This needs a special custom version of JOSM at:

An extra feature I've added since last weekend is that the expected positions
of the corners of the kilometre squares are now marked with blue crosses. So
if the NPE is misaligned, you can use these to help align it correctly.
