[OSM-talk] How to tag streets with separte lanes for each direction?

Michael,

Create two separate ways if the lanes are physically divided. In other words
if it is not normally possible to cross from one to the other, for instance
on an Autobahn or other divided highway. These would all be drawn as two
separate ways, each way with the segments facing the direction of travel
ideally too.
If the road pavement is just very wide with lots of lanes then you can add a
"width" tag so that you can define the extent of the feature.

Cheers

Andy
