I already tried it in the plane it's fun to see over 700 KM/H on my PDA GPS.
On the airplane you are much near to the satellites.
You have to go earlier to the airport to get a window place.
Some one already did it, he had problems to hold the GPS on the
window, he placed a card between the window and the plastic to hold
the GPS.
