I've spoken briefly to Matthew Somerville who made this

...and it seems we could help a lot if we had national rail data we
could give him to improve those routes! :-)

Has anyone been actively collecting train data? I've just started.

Has anyone attempted to extract just the motorways from planet.osm?

Would anyone (in light of the wiki being down) like to coordinate a rail
project?
