Only thing to realise is projection issues - you tweak that in osmarender, 
but the value you give is only suitable for a certain (smallish) area. So, 
to do the world, you would need to do it in lots of little chunks, 
tweaking the osmarender projection as you go, then doing some sort of 
magic to get it to all fit together afterwards....


As for the "rendering the whole world" thing, I think David Sheldon had a 
plan for rendering all the UK main roads on EC2 in a few hours every 
month, shifting the rendered tiles off somewhere else once built. The only 
trouble with using that sort of approach for these tiles is the large 
bandwidth charges shifting the large number of tiles off EC2 to be hosted.
