[OSM-talk] Database stats

Point taken (and we have been here before), and I am a bike mapper btw.
But, I was just making the point (poorly I see now) that if you are
going to have stats then a) their derivation should be transparent and
explained, and b) they should accurately count what they have set out to
count.
I will now shut up and go and look for a different way to cycle home to
start some more "good mapping".

The big issue with the stats of course is that they reward car mappers
and
disadvantage foot mappers. Despite my best efforts I can never get high
up
that list..... :-)

But then, should one be worried about one's position in the stats
anyhow?
If one feels one's done a good mapping job, one's done a good mapping
job....
