[OSM-talk] New Forest event -- GPS base map now available for download

There is now a GPS base map of the New Forest and surrounding areas (bounding 
box 1.8W, 50.7N, 1.4W, 50.95N) available for download from the New Forest 
wiki page. This will create a base map of existing OSM data for Garmin GPS 
devices (e.g. Etrex Legend) capable of displaying background maps.

Note that due to imperfections in the OSM data - notably ways consisting of 
unordered lists of segments - the map might look a bit odd in places. However 
it should be good enough to be an aid to navigation/determining what paths 
have been done already.
