[OSM-talk] Checking Recent Changes

This comes from points made in under other subject titles. If a grid is
placed over the entire world, could each square (wich i asume would have to
be in kilometers...) be like a page on wikipedia? with a history, discussion
etc.

For monitoring activies on osm i have looked at brinaoff before, but it
works every miniut or something, and the data is only avaliable from within
the time period that you are connected to the site. Would it not be poisble
to have a site wich visually shows where has been edited in the last
week/month?. showing squares edited, rather than individual nodes/segments.

If it was done this way, then if you went to a square and it was mashed up
some what, a right click in josm or the online editor could make a drop down
list apear, with a list of the last x edits.

This way as the amount of activity and data grows, the whole operation could
be broken down into countries/counties/even districts, and administrated in
the same style as wikipedia qutie well.

p.s. Also, I'm not shore why people are responding to the crap on the digg
site. Its not worth the amount of emails that have been sent. Can i
suggest its just completly ignored?...

p.p.s. What happened to the Midlands User group meeting? (wiki page -
discussion)

Ben
