I'd originally thought the same but now I would not go the next step for OSM
itself and push for it all to be public domain contribution. I believe that
the effort and time that has and will be expended in making OSM a success
(creating and offering OpenData) should be recognised beyond the point where
the data it holds gets used in a commercial or other OSM look-alike.
