I just downloaded the sat enabled JOSM build, loaded my segments and 
then the landsat. The sat is very pixelated, *but* it perfectly fits 
into my tracks along the river Rhein:

That's *great* news, so thanks a bunch for all the efforts you put into 
openstreetmap.org, especially your amazing code snippets!
