The road does have 2 names, one on each side :-), unless you want to put
2 roads in (like a dual carriageway), which wouldn't be a terrible solution.

Which renderers support that? It would just show with no name at all.

Which is why I'd advocate something like:

name_north=Neville Terrace
name_south=Selwood Terrace

Either north and south or east and west, but not northeast etc. A system
can tell which one to use because north means the side with higher
latitude, east higher longditude. If the road is diagonal, use either.

But do add:
name=Neville Terrace;Selwood Terrace
as well because otherwise most renderers wouldn't put any name on the road.
