A few comments, based on an area I know around 51.3475 -2.21956. There
are two ways drawn almost on top of each other, both with an extra line
joining the ends, both claiming to be 4390852.
What are the thin blue/grey lines around these ways, as far as I know
they do not exist in other renderers.

I panned from your default to here with no problem, firefox 2.0.0.1.
under Gentoo ppc.
