Swedish Television channel 1 (SVT 1) on Wednesday April 11, 2007,
aired a nature program (Mitt i naturen) featuring a moose that was
tranquilized and fitted with a combined GPS receiver and SMS
transmitter,

Every 7th hour (?), it sends an SMS (cell phone short text
message) reporting the position of the moose. You can follow this
moose ("Mitt i naturen 3223") and others on a map,

SLU.se is the Swedish Agricultural University, near Uppsala, but
these moose are up in Sweden's far north. The project is called
"Älg i MittSkandia" and operates in the Swedish province
Västerbotten and Norwegian Helgeland,

I don't know if the moose have signed away the copyright to these
tracks.
