[OSM-talk] Unordered segments

In maplint, I'm seeing "way with unordered segments" even in 
places where I'm pretty sure I have put the segments in order.  
Some times this error is indicated in one tile, but not in the 
neighbouring tile, of the same way.

Is there a bug in maplint or are my ways really unordered?

In JOSM, if a way is already in order, and I use the "reorder 
segment" action, it apparently gets marked as modified and needs 
to be uploaded.  I think it would be better if it wasn't flagged 
as modified.

If I select a large area and use "reorder segments", I get a popup 
dialog telling me that I have selected more than one way, and a 
question if I want to reorder (0) ways.  This number zero is 
peculiar.  After I answer yes and upload (several ways need to be 
uploaded), and re-render the tileset, the t at h maplint layer still 
indicates some of these ways as unordered.
