[OSM-talk] Undeletable ways - who can help?

Hi Folks,

As I look to clean up lint in Ireland and in particular the Dublin
area, I've encountered some ways that are surplus to requirements,
most of them discontinuous duplicates of ways that already have a
correct representation. Unfortunately, although JOSM goes through the
motions of deleting these ways, they're always back the next time I
load. I haven't tried using the applet to delete them, since it's not
possible (AFAICS) to target the broken way instead of a useful one.

For now, I've given the ways the name "Delete me please" - there are
four of them:

151597
151598
992532

If anyone can get rid of these pesky ways I'd be very grateful. If you
can also explain how they arise in the first place that would be
interesting too.
